Allyson knows exactly what it’s like to be busy. A mother, business owner, and substitute teacher, she’s recently re-added harness instructor to her list, a role she had before becoming a mother.

Back on the stage Mondays and Fridays at noon in Hingetown, Allyson encourages riders to unplug and enjoy the ride. “Give yourself permission to have 45 uninterrupted minutes to recharge, and have fun!”

What first drew you into joining the harness cycle community?

The feeling of belonging. the opportunity to meet likeminded people that enjoy a good sweat. I love group fitness and working out. but it's more than that at harness. I'm not from cleveland and my first friends when we moved her 5 years ago grew from this studio.

What inspires you to show up to class, work, etc day-to-day?

My 2 year old daughter, violet. I strive to be her strength and her role model as she navigates through the simplicity of life. violet reminds me every morning to shine bright and inspire those around me with all that I have to offer.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I live with my husband Wes, our 2 year old daughter Violet and our rescue pup Fitz in Lakewood, where you'll find me with violet—scribbling with chalk on the front porch, walking the aisles of Heinen's or going for a wagon ride to try to spot yellow cars. As a family, we like to eat at local restaurants in Lakewood. When I finally get some time alone, I'm logging miles by running to the top of Edgewater park or riding at harness.
