Day 1.

Finding Joy in Routine

Author | Annie Hartnett

A few years ago I created Feel Good February at Harness Cycle as a group effort to find some endorphins in the winter through daily movement. It didn't have to be a ride – just anything to move your body and find release. I had this hunch that it might help us *dislike* the middle of winter a little less. It worked - the month flew by and we squeezed in 28 different activities. I had one rider tell me recently that Feel Good Feb in 2020 actually sparked a commitment to daily movement that she still keeps up with now!

If you are signed up for this newsletter, my guess is riding & regular movement is in your toolkit to beat the winter blahs. For most of my adult life, that has been my go-to. This year, I am being forced to sharpen some new tools. I am having a minor surgery that will have me on the bench for 6 weeks. Since I can't rely on a ride or other physical activity, I am going to need to lean on some other options to create a February that feels good.

So – you are of course invited to come along for the journey! Together, let's explore other ways to create small moments of joy each day throughout the month. Most of our daily tips are bite size and often are a chore turned ritual simply by adding intention. You'll find a variety of ideas that will invite you to get out and explore the City both in and outside. And of course we have rides, events and even a sauna experience to really ensure we find joy this month.

Let's create a February that FEELS GOOD,
Annie
