A Good Night Sleep Routine

February is a quiet month, which gives me the time and space to reset my favorite ritual; the 10, 3, 2, 1, 0 rule for good night's sleep:

  • Stop caffeine 10 hours before bed. 

  • No food or drink 3 hours before bed (water & herbal teas being the exception).

  • No mental or physical work 2 hours before bed.

  • No screens 1 hour before bed.

  • Hit the snooze button 0 times (it gets easier with time). 

Pick your wake up time, don't deviate more than an hour day-to-day, and work backwards from there! 

The last 2 hours of the day becomes a quiet mindful time: 10 minute tidy, laundry, light reading, hobbies, family time, prepare breakfast & lunch, settle in to your evening.
