Magnesium Bath + Cold Plunge

I do the magnesium/cold plunge combo 3-4 times a week. I try to cold plunge every night regardless if I have taken a hot bath before. I've found this routine helps me sleep better, helps with anxiety, helps with sore muscles.

You can purchase Epsom Salt at any pharmacy. I use a full bag, but 2 cups should be good. Try to stay in the hot bath for 20 minutes, then 3-5 minutes of cold right after. Put on a good podcast or relaxing music if you want and zone out. Make sure you bring plenty of water or something hydrating because the salt will make you sweat and very thirsty. 

After 20 minutes, go right to the cold. I have a rubbermaid tank outside so it’s convenient for me to go right into there. But going into a shower, second tub or even something like this would be good to try. The cold will be shocking (which is the point) but focus on your breathing you’ll get out feeling great.
